Emanuel born in Philippine moved to Chicago at the age of 11 in 1977. Emanuel said his family knew that he was gay before he admitted this to them at the age of 13. he says that gay men have to hide their sexuality if they want to have certain jobs in this life. Its includes military, police firefighters, and police offices. As gay person that he needs to act straight in his role as an employment to be accepted in this world. He would like the opportunity to be in the military if the dirty should call on him. Most gay men are strong as well as intelligent men. This happens because gay men have to be this to be accepted in the straight as well as the gay community, that is gays and straight women have the same role in society in his opinion. Emanuel hopes that gays and women will have more powerful role in the future. Gay people that a successful and happy gay man has to be comfortable with who they are to be accepted and content in life.
